168 MW Facility with Expansion Potential
Reliance will construct a 168-megawatt data center specifically designed to support AI workloads. Meta will lease the facility, with provisions to increase capacity in the future. The site will use renewable energy sources and innovative cooling technology utilizing desalinated seawater.

Deepening a Long-Standing Strategic Alliance
The data center project represents the latest milestone in Meta and Reliance’s multi-year collaboration. The partnership began with Meta’s $5.7 billion investment in Jio Platforms in 2020 and has since expanded into AI model development for Indian enterprises.
By bringing dedicated AI computing capacity closer to Indian users, Meta aims to deliver lower latency and improved performance for its platforms while supporting its global AI training and inference needs.
Strong Focus on Sustainability
Meta is pairing the data center investment with nearly 1 GW of new renewable energy agreements in India. These include large-scale solar and wind projects with CleanMax and Fourth Partner Energy across multiple states. The company continues to pursue its goal of powering operations with 100% renewable energy worldwide.
The Jamnagar data center will also prioritize green energy, reflecting growing industry emphasis on sustainable AI infrastructure.
