A key feature of the expanded partnership is Cognizant’s Frontier Certified Engineer delivery model. These specialized engineers combine technical expertise with industry knowledge to assess business workflows, evaluate AI agents, and implement AI solutions directly within client environments.
By working closely with Google Cloud teams, they help organizations reduce deployment time and maximize returns from investments in Google Cloud’s AI portfolio, including Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience, and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform.
Cognizant is also adopting the technology internally by rolling out Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace across its global workforce. The AI tools are being used to improve software engineering, project delivery, customer support, and workforce productivity.
According to the company, internal benchmarks show that developers using Gemini Enterprise capabilities have achieved up to a 30% increase in software development productivity through automated code explanation, test generation, and application modernization.
The partnership has already produced tangible customer results. A leading U.S. communications and entertainment company modernized its contact center using Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience, improving first-contact resolution rates by 17% while enabling AI-powered automation to handle nearly one-third of appointment requests.
AI agents were deployed within three months, followed by hundreds of model optimizations during the first year.
Looking ahead, Cognizant and Google Cloud plan to jointly deliver industry-focused AI solutions for sectors including retail, healthcare, financial services, and communications.
The collaboration also includes reusable AI agents and rapid development capabilities to help enterprises deploy AI-powered business applications faster and at greater scale.
