AI Compute News – Oracle has expanded its artificial intelligence capabilities for enterprise supply chains by introducing four new Fusion Agentic Applications within Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM). Announced on June 29, the latest additions are designed to help businesses improve inventory management, streamline supplier processes, enhance manufacturing readiness, and strengthen overall supply chain resilience through autonomous AI-driven workflows.

The new applications leverage coordinated teams of specialized AI agents that can analyze business data, recommend actions, and execute routine operational tasks while working within an organization's existing governance and security policies. Unlike traditional AI assistants that primarily provide recommendations, Oracle's agentic applications are designed to carry out approved business processes, allowing supply chain teams to focus on higher-value strategic activities.
According to Oracle, supply chain organizations continue to face growing pressure from economic uncertainty, fluctuating demand, supplier disruptions, and rising operational costs. The company believes AI-powered automation can help businesses respond more quickly by identifying potential issues earlier, prioritizing critical actions, and enabling faster decision-making across planning, procurement, and manufacturing functions.
Among the newly launched capabilities is the Inventory Planning Command Center, which provides greater visibility into inventory levels while helping teams prevent stock shortages and improve service levels. By automating inventory monitoring and exception management, the application enables organizations to respond more efficiently to changing demand patterns.
Oracle has also introduced the Supplier Qualification Workspace, which accelerates supplier onboarding and qualification by simplifying documentation reviews, identifying missing information, and reducing delays that often affect procurement processes.
For manufacturers, the Production Readiness Workspace is designed to monitor production requirements, identify potential bottlenecks before manufacturing begins, and help teams resolve issues that could interrupt operations. In addition, the Kanban Administrative Workspace simplifies Kanban replenishment management by automating routine administrative tasks and reducing manual effort associated with inventory replenishment.
Beyond the four agentic applications, Oracle announced new inventory optimization capabilities aimed at helping organizations determine optimal inventory levels across complex supply chain networks. These enhancements are intended to improve product availability while minimizing excess inventory and reducing associated carrying costs.
The new applications are integrated into Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). They operate using unified enterprise data and business workflows, allowing AI agents to access relevant transactional information while complying with organizational approval structures and security controls. Human oversight remains part of the process, with the applications escalating exceptions or decisions that require managerial judgment.
Organizations using Oracle Cloud SCM can also extend these AI capabilities through Oracle AI Agent Studio, which enables customers to build, customize, and orchestrate AI agents using Oracle-developed, partner, or third-party components without extensive application development.
The latest release reflects Oracle's broader strategy of embedding agentic AI across its enterprise software portfolio. Rather than serving only as digital assistants, these applications are intended to automate business execution, helping enterprises improve operational efficiency, strengthen resilience, and adapt more effectively to increasingly dynamic supply chain environments.
